Herbert Greisberger
CEO, Energy- and Environment Agency Lower Austria

Herbert Greisberger is CEO of the Energy and Environment Agency Lower Austria (eNu) since 2011. He studied economics at the Universities of Graz, Innsbruck and Vienna, and was awarded his PhD at the University of Stuttgart. From 1993 to 2000 he worked as senior scientist at the Austrian Energy Agency in the field of R&D, innovation and energy technologies and was Secretary General at the Austrian Society for Environment and Technology from 2000 to 2011.

Herbert Greisberger is Vice-chair of the experts group on “long term energy R&D and evaluation” of the International Energy Agency/CERT (chair from 2000 – 2008). He is lecturer focussing on energy economy and energy management and member of several advisory councils and working groups on sustainable energy systems, energy efficiency and sustainable finance.
