Djaffar AHMED SAID HASSANI, born February 20, 1966 in Moroni is Vice-President of the Union of Comoros in charge of the Ministry of Economy, Planning, Energy, Tourism, Crafts, Industry , Private Sector and Land Affairs. Son of a former deputy, named AHMED SAID HASSANI, and Thamarati Abdounourou, he grew up in a fraternal environment that pushed him to embark on politics in 2005.

He graduated from Mohamed V University in Morocco in 1993 and from the National School of the Judiciary of Bordeaux France in 1997. He began his career successfully in 1993 as a professor of criminal law and commercial law at the National School of Administration and Commerce in Comoros. In 1997, he joined the Ministry of Justice as Investigating Judge at the Moroni Court of First Instance. Promoted shortly after, he became the first judge of children from 1999 to 2000 and President of the Moroni Court of First Instance from 2000 to 2001.

His career gained momentum in the ministry where he was successively appointed counselor to the Moroni Court of Appeal and President of the Criminal Court of Appeal. In 2002 he became General Prosecutor at the Moroni Court of Appeal, a position he held until 2006.

In 2007, Djaffar AHMED SAID HASSANI was appointed Inspector General of Judicial Affairs and from 2008 to 2011 he was appointed President of the Indictment Division of the Moroni Court of Appeal. In parallel with these functions, Mr. Djaffar AHMED SAID HASSANI, participated in the elaboration of numerous studies and texts including the study on access to justice realized in 2015, and the elaboration of several national texts, such as the current one. code of health and subsequent texts, the new penal code, and the code of criminal procedure.

In 2011, he was appointed Director General of Judicial Affairs, a position he will occupy until 2016, and at the same time national expert of the OHADA, where he helped to give a high visibility on regional commercial law in the Comoros, after to be elected Vice-President of the Union of Comoros.
