He is a member of Mali’s National Assembly since 2013. Karim Keïta was born in Paris, France in 1979 to Ibrahim Boubacar And Aminata Maïga. After primary school in Mali and Ivory Coast where his father held a position as ambassador, He left for belgium to the Waterloo boarding school until he obtained his high school diploma and then Canada for University at HEC.
Upon graduating with a degree in International Business he returned to Mali to set up his own businesses in 2006, A car rental service and an Investment Advice Firm. In 2013, he Succesfully Ran to become member of parlement in the district of Bamako. He was then elected within the Assembly as: chaiman of defense, security and civil protection commission, a position he’s held ever since due to succesful re-election each year from his collegues.
