Post Paris Navigator by brainbows

brainbows, the organizer of the AUSTRIAN WORLD SUMMIT, initiated the Post Paris Navigator in 2017 as an information and matchmaking platform for Austrian green tech companies interested in the realisation of sustainable, climate-resilient projects abroad.

The aim of this initiative is to raise companies’ awareness of climate action and speed up project implementation by matching relevant actors and facilitating successful entries into new markets. For that purpose, brainbows established a networking community for the sharing of knowledge and experience, while providing information concerning the global climate change process and success factors of best practice projects.

Since developing and emerging countries play a crucial role in the implementation of the UN Paris Agreement on Climate Change, and as project development in these economies can be particularly challenging, the Post Paris Navigator aims to focus on this region. The initiative is therefore supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and realised together with the Austrian Economic Chambers (WKO AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA).

As part of the Post Paris Navigator, brainbows regularly welcomes the submission of innovative projects related to developing and emerging countries, which deliver a positive climate impact and set an example for replication. Entries from across the world are evaluated by project developers and experts before the identified best practices are summarized in a white paper for stakeholders and presented at the AUSTRIAN WORLD SUMMIT.

The most recent white paper put a “Focus on Forests”. The Special Report 2020 features a variety of initiatives and business models that contribute to the conservation and sustainable management of intact forest ecosystems. .

The best practice projects and instruments identified in the 2019 call on “Innovative Financing Approaches for Climate Projects” can be found in the AWS Special Report 2019.

The 2018 white paper on “Biomass and Waste to Energy” projects was published in the AWS Special Report 2018.

The Post Paris Navigator shall bring together actors from all kinds of businesses and organisations relevant for a successful implementation of sustainable climate projects. We are particularly keen to invite green tech companies and development organisations interested in the exchange of project ideas and experiences to join the platform and participate in our networking events.
